You can remix old game tunes...why not remix old games?

It seems with greater computing power and people taking up more and more time for computers, people decided to remix old classic games. Yes folks, it's not just the gaming industry that's rehashing games for us, it's the fans as well. Chrono Resurrection was one of most promising projects for everyone. Based on the game Chrono Trigger which was one of the best RPGs ever, Chrono Resurrection was a group of people's attempts to change the beloved 2D game into 3D. As seen in the picture above, it was a total labour of love. Even links to a in game trailer is availble as well with the old website.

Sadly Square, the owners of the game, put a stop to the whole thing. It's too bad they couldn't keep their mouths shut about this all, but I guess even the best of us wants to show our progress. Of course there are plenty of other games who are changing it all up. Even now there's remix of Classic Megaman and Classic Zelday availble for download. Enjoy all of you!

  • Heck, I'm impressed enough by the labor that is fan translations of Japanese video games that never made it to the US.
